Mungkin sama “nakal”nya
pikiran teman-teman pembaca dengan penulis, ketika pertama kali membaca judul
lagu ini dan beberapa bait syairnya. Tetapi ketika sudah sampai di larik
terakhir, kita dibuat terjengkang dan tertawa semua. Ternyata gadis nakal yang
merebut banyak perhatian semua orang di desa kecil tersebut adalah gadis manis
yang baru berusia 9 hari. Iya, dia masih bayi. Tidak heran jika membuat semua
orang berduyun-duyun datang mengantri untuk melihat dan memegangnya, mengalahkan sebuah gosip pagar belakang yang ada di sana. Lagu unik
dan menggelikan ini ditulis oleh Sid Tepper dan Roy C Bennet, kemudian menjadi
populer, tembus dalam majalah tangga lagu Billboard ketika dibawakan oleh The
Ames Brothers pada sekitar tahun 1954, di bawah label rekaman RCA Victors Record.
